Children learn more from what they see you do… than what you say you’ll do.
So, be careful what you do... very careful!
We’ve all been there…
Giving our child the benefits of our experience…
Encouraging them to learn from our mistakes.
Expecting them to soak it all up and become the perfect child!
But then, just a few minutes down the line…
They’re mimicking that frustrated sigh…
Or worse…
The swear word you didn’t realise you’d let out when you were cut up on the drive back home!
We may not realise it…
But our kids never switch off.
I’ll often be chatting with someone whilst my son’s watching TV…
Or on his iPad playing Minecraft…
Or doing his homework…
And he’ll chip in with a comment or a question connected to what I’m talking about!
And I’ll suddenly realise that everything we’ve been discussing has been picked up by him.
And I thought men (and boys) couldn’t multi-task!
Think of it this way.
